Switching it UP!!! Self-Realization (Part 1)

I originally had this blog set up a specific way, having each day dedicated to a topic. I really wanted to do it this way because it was easier for me to talk about the topics in some sort of order. But something has happened over the past few days that has changed my mindset and belief system about myself greatly and how I handle and organize things. So now I will be writing a little bit more uninhibited and not sticking so much to a schedule, but allowing what wants to be written to manifest. SO, with that being said... I would like to share my experience with all who are interested.

For the longest time, I have struggled with being me. I believe everyone at some point in time struggles with this. Whether its your parents putting mental binds on you, or friends, teachers, anyone; how we react shapes and constructs our future selves and we end up living a life we never really wanted. But we decided to live this way because we didn't feel like dealing with the wrath others could have and blatantly told us they would afflict us with.

The Buddha

A few months back, my mother called me into the room and said, "I want to show you something. I think you'll be interested in it." What she showed me was a PBS special on The Buddha. It was the most interesting and well put together video I've seen on The Buddha. So I've decided to put up this documentary, created by filmmaker David Grubin, in hopes that you will take the time to witness the intensity in which Siddhārtha Gautama aka The Buddha searches for truth and find enlightenment.

When I first started looking into religions and ways of life different from my own, a heaviness was on me. I was in complete fear of upsetting God for looking into "other" ways, that the religion I was brought up in would call pagan. But something deep inside me decided to use the brain I was given and follow my gut feeling to seek and find out whatever it was I wanted to know. I'm a strong believer and practitioner that if you want to find out the truth, look for it yourself and trust no ones word. I greatly believe what we call God can "speak" to the human in the most craziest ways. It may be through an email subject line, through iTunes song titles once you've put iTunes on shuffle lol, through a movie, picture, and obviously a person. Now, I know most people don't trust other people as far as they can throw them, but nonetheless, I have learned that sometimes God will use the most random people to tell you something.

Welcome! We welcome you to The Rubet Enterprise site. We hope that you all have come to engage in some incredible knowledge and are willing to expand your mind. Here at The RE, we try our best to provide our readers with the opportunity to view things from different vantage points. Can you see things from more than one side, more than two, more than three? Hopefully, we will be able to bring you something new, useful and refreshing every week on the topics we are currently concentrating on, which are: Finance, Spirituality, Health & Wellness, Entertainment and a topic of our choice under the Whatever We Want tags located on the right side of this site. We also have a little project we do called "Project 365." Basically, we take a picture a day of something that made us laugh, cry, moved us in any way, and place it up on the site for you to see. Its a cool little thing to do and it helps anyone who creates their own, to hold on to awesome memories for times to come.

Soon we will be hosting a podcast/radio show that will be discussing current news, what we're thinking about, what you're thinking about, and how we can actively create and educate ourselves daily by building a network that is strong and prosperous.
